How it works
SCRP receives requests for risk-related services from client prospects and forwards them to SCRP Platform Manager (read more). Platform Manager evaluates requirements and discusses with the Board on possible options. Platform Manager then consults with Platform Partners on delivery and fees. Proposed fees, timing and deliverables are agreed upon prior to submission to client prospects.
SCRP Platform Manager enters into contracts with clients and automatically cede out work packages to platform partners based on pre-arranged terms. This is different from sub-contract models as partner firms function as collaborators within a consortium whereby terms have already been agreed, prior to the formal proposition. SCRP Platform Manager functions as the consortium focal point for communication, legal and delivery administration.

As Risk Apprentice
SCRP Risk Apprentices are university degree or professional qualification holders who aspire to be a Certified Risk Professional. The CRP title is a mark of technical proficiency in analysing economic, environmental and social risks.
Intrinsically, 'risk' is uncertainty. The concept of risk is scientifically represented in the form of probability and statistics. Hence it is impossible to manage risk without understanding probability and statistics. Risk is not a mere word of literature. Risk is a sophisticated philosophy involving branches of metaphysics, epistemology, ethics and logic.

Risk Apprentice shall learn the ontology of risk. Objects, classes and relationships within risk components and causality between events. Probability is never deterministic, where computational outcomes result in a fixed value. Probability is measured through stochastic models where parameters take a range of values and the results also manifest in a range of values. Therefore risk must be modelled stochastically in real-life cases as they go beyond common fair die examples in textbooks. As arbitrary as it sounds, stochastic models were used to discover the quantum theory, atomic bomb and black holes in the universe.
The Certified Risk Professional Program
The CRP program is focused on measuring economic, environmental and social risks in numbers and dollar values. The objective is to be able to gauge the size of a problem or opportunity without the need for absolute precision like those expected in engineering. Knowing the size of risks help make significantly better decisions.

The CRP program contains 5 modules:
Module 1 - Identifying & Mapping Risks
Module 2 - Measurement Methodology and Approach
Module 3 - Repeating, Cyclical and Rare Events
Module 4 - Bayes, Monte Carlo and Markov Chain
Module 5 - Risk Modelling

An Apprentice begins with Module 1. Passing a module unlocks the next module. An Apprentice who passes Module 3 will be accorded the SCRP Risk Associate title. Passing Module 5 will earn the Risk Professional title.
Exemptions for Module 3 and 4 are available depending on candidates' professional experience and technical proficiency.
